1. Basic Functions of the Slewing Motor

The performance of the slewing motor directly affects the machine's operational flexibility, working efficiency, and positioning accuracy. During digging, loading, and leveling operations, the slewing motor must frequently start, stop, and change direction while enduring significant inertial loads, making its design and manufacturing requirements extremely high.

2. Working Principle of the Slewing Motor

The slewing motor is a low-speed, high-torque (LSHT) hydraulic motor, typically using an axial piston or radial piston design. Its working principle is based on converting hydraulic oil pressure energy into mechanical energy:

1. Hydraulic Oil Drive: High-pressure oil enters the motor's inlet from the main pump, pushing pistons or gears to move, thereby rotating the output shaft.

2. Torque Output: Through a swash plate or eccentric mechanism, the linear motion of hydraulic oil is converted into rotational motion, delivering high torque to overcome the rotational inertia of the excavator's upper structure.

3. Oil Return Cycle: The low-pressure oil after performing work returns to the tank through the return line, completing the hydraulic cycle.
