Belparts excavator VIO70 172187-73100 hydraulic main pump for AP2D36-G2SP-30.07.0-SR
The hydraulic pump converts mechanical energy into hydraulic energy to power the excavator's hydraulic system. When the engine drives the pump shaft to rotate, the internal pistons or gear sets create oil suction and compression processes, forming a high-pressure oil flow. Belparts hydraulic pumps feature variable displacement design that automatically adjusts output flow according to load requirements, achieving high energy efficiency.

Hydraulic pump efficiency comprises volumetric and mechanical efficiency. Volumetric efficiency compares actual to theoretical flow rate, primarily affected by internal leakage. Mechanical efficiency measures how much input power converts to hydraulic power, mainly influenced by frictional losses. Combined total efficiency can exceed 90% in quality piston pumps.
Though less visible than displacement or pressure, efficiency significantly impacts excavator fuel consumption. Efficient hydraulic pumps reduce energy loss, lowering engine load and saving fuel. This explains why high-end excavators invest more in high-efficiency piston pumps.
Traditional fixed displacement pumps provide constant flow, while modern excavators predominantly use variable pumps that automatically adjust output based on load demands. Various control methods achieve this: pressure compensation control, load sensing control, and electro-proportional control.
For example, pressure-compensated variable pumps automatically reduce swashplate angle when system pressure reaches a set value, decreasing output flow to prevent unnecessary pressure buildup and energy waste. This intelligent adjustment lets modern excavators deliver adequate power for heavy loads while conserving energy during lighter work, greatly improving overall efficiency.
